OUR MISSION

The company’s purpose is to offer the highest quality, evidence-based, and MQA-accredited academic qualifying routes for all modalities within the complementary and traditional medicine professions so that their practitioners become lifelong learners and contributing to their management of patients’ chronic health disorders.

OUR BACKGROUND

DMESB is the education arm of the DSY Wellness Longevity (DSYWL) Group of Companies, which started operation some 16 years’ ago with a clinical practice in nutritional therapy in Pusat Bandar Damansara in 2004. This operation was moved to Taman Dagang, Ampang during 2006 where it has grown to be the national leader in complementary medicine. It serves local and international clientele of >20,000 in the areas of metabolic/nutritional medicine for managing chronic health disorders.

Its clinical practice is housed in six commercial lots. However, publicity is being discouraged or prohibited under the Medical Advertising Act or by other Health Ministry guidelines. Due to its outstanding clinical results achieved, a number of countries have invited DSYWL to establish branch operations overseas. These operations are likely to commence after the COVID-19 pandemic is fully under control here and in those countries.
In 2008, it acquired a new commercial building with three floors to house its Education/Training Division (DMESB) located at Cahaya Dagang, Ampang. This division has been renamed the School of Complementary & Traditional Medicine (or SCOTMED).

Its founder established the first complementary medical federation (www.fcnmam.org.my) recognised by Ministry of Health and was gazetted under the Traditional & Complementary Medicine Act 2016. Currently, it is a ‘designated’ practitioners’ body under Section 6 of the Act. Our founder is appointed by the YB Minister of Health to sit on the law-making body established by the Act, namely the Traditional & Complementary Medical Council. Being the first in Malaysia to hold post-graduate degree and medical fellowship in the field of study, he also serves as a MQA Assessor for complementary medicine, anti- ageing medicine, and nutritional medicine. The combined turnover for the Group meets the requirements for listing on the Second Board of the Stock Exchange.
